Frylands, woodland area of which we will be filming

Some of the forest being used, we made sure that is was light enough to be seen from all angles, the forest was full of trees (obviously) but enough for it to seem clearly like a forest but also enough space for our actress to run.

We had an axe brought with us, then Sam hit a stump in the ground with it to secure it in the wood. We chose Sam to hit the wood because Sam has a lot of experience with wood.

We also strung up some nooses from a tree to hang down below, something our actress may not notice, but these also help to build up tensiomn around the opening, with a feeling of impending doom, out audience will be expecting something but they're not quite sure what.

Also here's a picture of our cabin we used where the antagonist were to stay. Inside the cabin it's dark which aids us in also using low key lighting as well as our usual high key lighting. Also the cabin is small and slightly decyaed giving it more of a creepy effect.

We took a close up of the axe we used, and also the axe hanging between a noose, this is within the cabin that the antagonist is living in, as we don't see the inside of the cabin in the opening, we've left it very bare that there's nothing inside it, the reason the noose and the axe are in there is for a panning close up, where you will not get a full view of what is inside the cabin at all.

Cabin

The opening consists of a young girl taking a gentle jog through the woods on a summers morning, as the young blonde girl runs along many different hints pop up around the forest that she doesn't notice, but to the audience it is clear, such as things like an axe in wood, and also nooses hanging from a tree, she is then chased down by a mysterious antagonist that the audience is unable to see, and why she is hunted down is hidden for the audience to late figure out in the film.

Scene 1, panel 1
The camera stays still at a low angle shot as a young blonde girl runs up from a hill (coming into the shot) running towards the camera while listening to upbeat music , the natural lighting from the sun makes it high key and the as she runs, she runs past the camera

Scene 1, panel 2
A close up of the girls feet as she runs past the camera, the camera follows the girls feet as she runs past. Again natural lighting and the running music playing.

Scene 2, panel 1
A high angle shot behind a set of nooses hanging from a tree, the girl then runs past these nooses completely oblivious to them, as she doesn't notice she runs off the camera shot, the lighting is slightly darker with a filter to represent the dark nature of a noose, and a lower bass sound is dropped in as she runs past them.

Scene 3, panel 1
Medium shot of the girl running along the path and still listening to music (non diegetically) with the slow bass coming on in the background, and the lighting is all still natural

Scene 4, panel 1
Birdseye view of the girl stretching, one hand on the tree as she stretches her legs, the camera stays still and stays at the same angle, as the girl then runs off.

Scene 5, panel 1
A long shot of the girl running and then a panning closeup of the axe that has been placed in the wood, this again sets off another bass sound with lower key lighting to indicate danger subconsciously to the audience

Scene 6, panel 1
Close up between the girls legs and a long shot of the cabin where the antagonist is hiding, which we cannot see, you can see her headphones fall through her legs and the music stops and then the scary bass music kicks back in, still with high key lighting

Scene 6 panel 2
Long shot of girl through point of view shot from antagonist. Girl is unfocused; antagonist arm slowly grabs the door frame at the top. Dampened lighting, almost black and white. Very slow heavy breathes from the antagonist; running music is now stopped. Camera stays still.

Scene 6 panel 3
Close up of runner girl’s face. Still the heavy slow breathes from antagonist, with the short quick breathes added from the girl; she turns and runs, camera stays still. Dampened natural lighting.

Scene 7 panel 1
Blackout; still with the breathing from each character.

Scene 7 panel 2
Low angle shot of the girl as she runs past the camera. Camera stays still as the ipod is dropped right in front of it. As soon as the ipod is dropped all focus is on the ipod the girl running away becomes a faint blur. The breathing stops, as a guitar riff becomes louder and faster. Lighting natural and dampened.

Scene 7 panel 3
Blackout; the guitar riff still playing.

Scene 7 panel 4
Over the shoulder shot of the girl running away, she gives the effect of falling as the camera still pans forward. You don’t see her fall. The guitar riff gets faster and gains a thicker texture; with more notes. Lighting natural and dampened. Camera moves with girl.

Scene 7 panel 5
Blackout; guitar riff still playing, with the sound of the girl falling playing over it.

Scene 7 panel 6/7
Extreme close up of the girls hand as she claws at the dirt for grip. The hand slowly comes off the camera shot. Camera stays still. Loud scream from the girl, guitar riff fades out and the beginning running music fades back in as the camera pans upwards to the sky. The scream stays in to give the effect of irony to the scene.

Credits

The credits will gently appear onto the screen, but the effect of them coming on with be much like a sunrise, as the text beams light in an upwards movement, and the text will shine making it very obvious to the audience of what is happening.
